Why it exists
Sailing should feel specialized, not gate-kept.
New sailors often meet dense books, disconnected videos, and unfamiliar language before they ever touch a helm. SailStarter turns that knowledge layer into a clear sequence of short visual lessons, each followed by a quiz that explains every answer.
SailStarter was created and is operated by Ihor Tykhonenko in New Brunswick, Canada. He also founded Badminton House, a Canadian badminton shop and player community. Both projects start from the same belief: specialized sports become more welcoming when beginners get plain language, useful feedback, and a clear next step.
